Float Switches
Operating Principle
A permanent magnet set in a float rises and falls on
a guide tube containing one or more magnetically operated reed switches.
Application
Suitable for almost all liquids.
Special designs are capable of liquid interface measurement.
Temperature -320oF to 662oF
(-196oC to 350oC)
Pressure
Vacuum to 580 psi (4 MPa) (Higher pressure designs available).
Materials
Stainless steel, brass, titanium, Tantalum, Hastelloy,
PVC, polypropylene, PVDF, PTFE and E-CTFE coatings.
Output
Contact closure in SPST, NO or NC; or SPDT
Configurations
Flange or thread mounting. Top, bottom or side entry.
Multi-level switching with pre-set switch points. Guide tube lengths up
to 480" (40') in one piece construction. Food industry designs available.
Horizontal
Float Switches
Operating Principle
A float pivoted at one end of a short actuating arm rises
and falls with the liquid level. The other end of the actuating arm contains
a permanent magnet which operates a magnetic reed switch in the body of
the housing.
Application
Suitable for almost all liquids.

Vacuum to 350 psi (4 MPa) (Higher pressure designs available).
Materials
Stainless steel, brass, titanium, Tantalum, Hastelloy,
PVC, polypropylene, PVDF, PTFE and E-CTFE coated floats.
